At Sun-n-Fun 2008, Jeppesen Sanderson, Inc. announced an alliance partnership with Hilton Software LLC.  Jeppesen also announced a new product called "Jeppesen Mobile".

Here is a summary of the agreement, Jeppesen Mobile, and what it means for Hilton Software and WingX:

  • Jeppesen Mobile is a completely separate product and will be marketed, sold, and supported by Jeppesen.
  • WingX will continue to be marketed, sold, and supported by Hilton Software.
  • We will continue to release both minor and major upgrades to WingX - our agreement with Jeppesen does not limit our current or future development plans for WingX.
What is Jeppesen Mobile and how does it differ from WingX?
Jeppesen Mobile is a 'Jeppesenized' version of WingX.  Specifically:
  • WingX has NACO charts, Jeppesen Mobile does not (NACO or Jeppesen).
  • Jeppesen Mobile adds:
    • The complete JeppGuide including the Airport Diagrams
    • Jeppesen's QICP-certified weather graphics.
    • Jeppesen's FARs Explained (in addition to the FARs)
How is Jeppesen Mobile priced?
Jeppesen Mobile's introductory price is $169 (including a full one year's subscription).  Annual subscription after the first year is just $129.
