How do I download the WingX demo and how do I sign-up for the WingX Premier Edition will all the great features?

How do I install WingX?

There are two ways to install WingX; one uses your desktop or laptop and the other uses your phone's Internet connection.  The Internet connection can be a data plan, WiFi, cradle using ActiveSync, etc.
  • Downloading directly to the device:
    • Point your device's Internet Explorer to "mobile.hiltonsoftware.com"
    • If you have a touch screen device, select "WingX for the Pocket PC".
    • If you have a non-touch screen device, select "WingX for the Smartphone".
  • Downloading via the PC:
    • Connect your device to the cradle and ensure ActiveSync connects with the device.
    • Point you desktop's browser to our Download page.
    • If you have a touch screen device, click on "WingX for the Pocket PC".
    • If you have a non-touch screen device, click on "WingX for the Smartphone".
    • This will download the WingX install program to your desktop.  Run this install program to install WingX on your device.

We highly recommend that WingX is installed in main memory and not on a card.
WingX does provide the option of having the databases on a card.
Therefore the main memory impact is minimal (about 1.5MB).

How do I register WingX?

It's simple:
  • Pay - either by calling us at 1-866-42-WINGX or via our website - click here.
  • Send us your WingX ID. After running WingX, you will find your WingX on the Help, Register page. There are two ways to do this:
    • Send an email to support@hiltonsoftware.com with both lines of your WingX ID, or
    • Tap on Menu, Send to Customer Support to send the WingX ID electronically to us.
After registering, we'll send you a WingX Key that you can either enter manually on the Help, Register page or you can use Menu, Get Key on the Help, Register page.

After registering, what do you recommend?

We recommend installing a 2GB card (or larger).  If no charts are required, you don't even need a storage card, but they're cheap and it'll free us quite a bit of memory.  We recommend the following:
  • Once you have installed and registered WingX, ensure that your device has an Internet connection and tap on Tools, WingX, Upgrade to get the latest build of WingX.
  • If you have an SD Card (or similar) and wish to move the WingX databases to the card, tap on Tools, Database Location and select "SD Card" (or similar).
  • Be sure to download the latest databases. The install program only installs a subset of the database information.
