This section answers many of the frequently asked questions about which phones are supported by WingX. Also, we answer the often asked questions about Palm devices and Apple's iPhone. |

Yes. In fact, not only are WM5 and WM6 supported, WingX is optimized for WM5 and WM6. WingX also runs on older Pocket PCs running Pocket PC 2003, or Pocket PC 2003 (Second Edition).
We do not have plans for WingX to be ported to Palm devices running the Palm Operating System. We believe that Windows Mobile Smartphones and Pocket PCs provide numerous advantages that make WingX significantly more powerful than we could have achieved with the Palm Operating System. Note: WingX runs great on Palm devices running Windows Mobile. Examples are the Palm 700wx and Palm 750. A word of caution: The older Palm 700w ships with only 32MB of RAM of which less than 10MB is usable after the OS has booted. Almost every new device has at least 64MB RAM. While WingX is miserly with its memory usage and is extremely efficient, we encourage users not to buy any Pocket PC with only 32MB. Take a look at the newer 700wx or 750 if you want a Palm device.
Yes! Simply tap on "App Store" on your iPhone and search for "WingX" or "Hilton Software".
WingX will run on practically any Pocket PC, Pocket PC Phone Edition, or Smartphone that is a Windows Mobile device. The Pocket PC Phone Edition and Smartphone are fantastic with WingX because these devices allow you to be connected to the Internet, get email, send text messages etc. WingX will use this Internet connection for its ever-increasing online functionality such as (animated) weather graphics, METARs, TAFs, DUATS support (filing flight plans etc), TFRs, podcasts, N-number searches etc. The list of supported devices is changing almost daily, but here are just some of the amazing devices that will run WingX:
