Hundreds Of Pre-Defined Aircraft Models
WingX's actively-updated Aircraft Model Database contains over 475 pre-defined aircraft models. This means that we have entered the relevant aircraft information for you and all that is left to do is to enter the N-number, associate and aircraft model, and enter its empty weight and moment. using this information, WingX will 'know' the aircraft's W&B envelopes, its maximum ramp weight, maximum takeoff weight, maximum fuel weight, the arms of the seats, baggage and fuel and much more.
Fast, Easy, and Accurate Data Entry
All that is left for you, the pilot, to do is to enter the appropriate weights for the flight, and WingX will automatically calculate the Gross Weight, Weight Below Gross, and Center Of Gravity values and display these values along with a graphical representation of the envelope. Nothing could be simpler. In fact, the weights can be enter using simply pop-up menus, no need to tap each individual digit.
Detection Of Possible Out-Of-Limit Conditions WingX will automatically detect and flag out-of-limit conditions such as exceeding the Maximum Ramp weight, Maximum Takeoff Weight, Maximum Landing Weight, Maximum Zero Fuel Weight, Maximum Baggage Weight, and Out of Envelope. When no out-of-limit conditions are detected, WingX displays either the Gross Weights, Below Gross Weights, or the Center of Gravity in green. However, when WingX detects a possible out-of-limit condition, the text color changes to red and the appropriate error message is displayed.
Helicopter Lateral CG
Helicopter pilots are required to calculate the longitudinal as well as the lateral CG; this means double the number of calculations to do, double the time required, and double the odds of making a mistake. WingX calculates both the longitudinal and lateral CGs for pilots flying Robinson R22s and other helicopters.
User-Defined Aircraft Models
Not all aircraft are 'stock' aircraft, especially expirimental aircraft. Some aircaft have additional tip tanks, additional baggage compartments, seats removed or added, or some other modification performed. WingX allows user-defined aircraft models. The user is therefore able to define new Normal or Utility Envelopes, Maximum Ramp Weight, Maximum Takeoff Weight and many other parameters so that their particular aircraft is defined and used by WingX.
